what we do

At In Touch Physiotherapy you will receive expert advice and treatment. With more than 30 years of physio practice, both around New Zealand, USA, and UK, we can offer a wealth of experience and expertise.

Jo is the owner/operator of In Touch Physiotherapy, and as the sole practitioner, you are assured of having an experienced physio for both assessment and treatment.

Our 30-45 minute appointments give your concern the attention and thoroughness it deserves.
We do not believe in short, conveyor belt physiotherapy.

We give good old-fashioned physio treatments. We still believe that modalities play a role in your treatment, and that hands on treatment is essential, rather than just prescribing an exercise program. Your visit is likely to include an assessment, followed by treatment consisting of modalities, manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and home exercises.

Your treatment plan will be individually tailored to your needs, and we aim to empower you to use that plan, to successfully treat your symptoms in between treatments, and reduce the chance of recurrence in the future.

Jo is qualified to practice acupuncture, which can be a useful adjunct to traditional physiotherapy techniques.

Location
In Touch Physiotherapy is conveniently located on Marshland Rd, behind Shirley Medical Centre, opposite The Palms mall. Parking is available onsite, so if someone else needs to bring you, they can visit the mall during your treatment time, and you can combine your visit with a shopping trip. We are also on the bus route, with a bus stop right outside.
